FRIENDS RECEIVE GENEROUS DONATIONS!
On February 7, 2013, a check for $1,200.00 was presented to Sandy Dunnavant, President of the Friends of the Green Cove Springs Library, and Jennifer Parker, Branch Manager of the Green Cove Springs Library by David Potts, owner of Jax River Cruises and the paddle wheeler Annabelle Lee. Mr. Potts donated 50% of the proceeds from three introductory cruises on the St. Johns River out of Green Cove Springs on January 19, January 26 and January 27.
The Friends have also received donations of $500 from the JP Hall Sr. Children’s Charities, $375 from Parker Service Company, $350 from Garber Automall, $300 from Verizon Wireless (GCS Store), $250 from Vystar Credit Union, $150 from Walgreens, and $50 from Art for Eyes Optical Shop.
These monies will go in support of the 2013 Florida Youth Activities at the Green Cove Springs Library this Summer!
The Friends are deeply grateful to all of these community partners for their generous support of the Library and its mission!
